I work as an American Sign Language<>English<>Spanish<>Vietnamese interpreter. The bulk of my work is between American Sign Language and English, and my work experience in said language pair includes DeafBlind (protactile, tactile ASL, close vision, haptics), educational (K-12 and secondary), quasi-legal, medical, social work, domestic violence (DV)/intimate partner violence (IPV), substance use disorder (SUD), performing arts, conference, and video (both video relay interpreter [VRI] and video relay service [VRS]) interpreting.
In the DeafBlind community, I also work and volunteer as a co-navigator*.
In regards to my certifications and licensure, I hold:
- Texas BEI Basic certification [American Sign Language<>English]
- NBCMI (National Board for Certified Medical Interpreters) certification [English<>Spanish]
