My name is Travis Giuse Nguyen.

I’m a man of many hats residing in the Greater Houston area.

My field of work is in interpretation and translation. I am certified under the Texas Board for the Evaluation of Interpreters (BEI) for American Sign Language and English, and I am certified under the National Board of Certified Medical Interpreters (NBCMI) for English and Spanish.

At the moment, I am on hiatus from my academic studies. My research interests are aligned with (1) the documentation and analysis of signed languages and (2) the development of software tools and corpora towards automatic signed language recognition.

In my spare time, I moonlight as an advocate of disability and language rights.
